They told us the sky was blue,
we didn’t argue and offered no alternative as a substitute.
We didn’t know why, we just did.
So imagine my surprise when I saw this…
The empirical scientific thought process rules in its prevalence,
being the belief that a thesis can only be proved true with evidence.
So now I will teach my children that the sky is whatever colour they choose,
and DARE a teacher to argue.
The ground is blue, the clouds are pink.
Blissfully backwards, but we see where we walk
While amaro filtered colours cover the floor.
The concrete is a bouncy castle so
I suggest,
That you learn to understand this spring in my step…
Backwards is forward in a world where forward thinking is backwards
So laugh until your laughter is unjustified…
While we use the back of our heads to hold our eyes.
The world is what I want it to be and more,
My life is mine,
my mind is the law.

Intergalactic Thoughts
Wandering Star
Wavering star
We are watching you as you wonder
We watch you as you ponder
We watch you as you get closer
We watch you as you get further
You dream and see what you want to be
You feel the pain as you think it’s not meant to be
You let other people to think up your life
You’re left with that deflated feeling with no life
Wandering star
Wavering star
We are watching you as you wonder
We watch you as you ponder
We watch you as you get closer
We watch you as you get further
Plagued by the very things you adore
Played by the only one you love
Pressured to make decisions. Something you abhor
Pulled and pushed, you seek refuge in a cave
Wandering Star
Wavering star
We are watching you as you wonder
We watch you as you ponder
We watch you as you get closer
We watch you as you get further
Made a galaxy of your own
Made a world of your own
Made a path of your own
Yet you don’t own
Wandering Star
Wavering star
We are watching you as you wonder
We watch you as you ponder
We watch you as you get closer
We watch you as you get further
Strayed into the wilderness
Stuck in the wilderness
Lost and yet to be found
Found before you return to the ground
I’m a wayfaring stranger
With every step I take I get stronger
The negative thoughts no longer linger
This wayfaring stranger is no longer a stranger
Wandering star
Please find your way home
Wavering star
Please come back home
We have watched you wonder
We watched you ponder
We watched you get close
We watched you go further
Start shining to the world
Never stop shining to the world

FALLING
You know…
love is one of the most confusing things ever. We vie for each others attention in the hope that someone notices us enough to care. Then we fall, stumble, collapse into this mile wide, seemingly neverending abyss of feeling and at first we’re blissfully unaware of the drop but then we realise and fall…happily so almost in euphoria.
Cheshire Cat smiles illuminating our faces, blind to the fact that at the bottom of this pit is spikes and pillows and only time will tell which one we land on and even when you land safely you have to work out if they landed too. Knowing that if they didn’t then you would have to mastermind your way up these walls with no footholds, ankle weights in the form of emotional baggage pulling you down and you struggle to climb but climb you must. Finally reaching a plateau that you tell yourself is the peak but it isn’t and then you lose your footing when you envisage someone similar to you helping them up and out.
But we keep climbing.
The confusion lies in why do we do this? The probability of us landing on pillows is minute. And if we do escape then where do we go from there?
do we let ourselves experience the euphoric fall again?
Do we cement over all the holes? Questions questions,
seemingly unanswerable questions.
