Who we are. Who we must be.
Must we be who we are? Or are we who we must be?
Hmm…
Convention is overrated.

Take-Off
“Lexy, what do you want to be in the future?”
In a world where you must know, not to know is no joke.
So,
I say I don’t know with a straight face.
I turn around and smirk though,
because they don’t know –
My future’s so bright, I refuse to look at it.
Raybans for maybachs
Aviators for aviation.
Ha.
Baby, i’m leaving on a jet plane
and I still don’t know the way.
All I know is that i’m afraid of heights,
so this fear is kinda nice.
You can’t see my face so take my word for it.
I’m smiling as I,
Work with my head down,
concentrating on the floor.
I wanna remember this obsolete concrete in my dreams.
I need these memories for my testimony.
Every flight starts on the ground,
Welcome to my departure lounge.

Just sit here.
You see,
we were made to share.
These eyes were made for you to provide a reason for me to wrinkle their sides.
You see,
my palms were made for your fingertips.
Swirl and find the paths I hide between the lines.
You see,
I want you to tell me who I am, before I get bored of calling myself amaro and toaster,
before I learn to stop forcing this banter and concentrate on teaching this goofy smile some discipline.
You listening?
That’s what your ears where made for
…me.
You see,
we were made to share, and one day we will,
but for now…
just sit here.
